Anything to avoid the circus that is the royal wedding. Why should I care about a wedding between two people I don’t know or will ever meet. In my opinion, and it is only my opinion so don’t take it personally, the idea of a royal family annoys the shit out of me. Here we have a super rich, exclusive and inaccessible family parading their wealth in front of the masses as if to say “oh lets give the peasants something to celebrate, let’s show them how far removed they are from the way we live”. The whole concept is like something out of the 16th century. The whole idea of this flashy rich and unelected family prancing around London just turns me right off.
People are so fascinated that William is marrying a so called commoner, commoner? What? She’s a millionaire who doesn’t have to work a day in her life, she’s about as common as caviare for breakfast. Don’t get me started on the fanatics who have been camping out for the last week or so just so they can get a 10 second glimpse of the “happy couple”.
Thanks for the day off though, although I could have really used an extra days pay. Fuck I hate this country sometimes.
Sorry for sounding so bitter. I just can’t go anywhere without hearing about this goddamn wedding.
